Radiofrequency ablation

The ablation heats up the area of cancer sufficient to cause the death of all cells within that tumour. The success of surgical therapy is very much related to the size of the tumor and its location, but represents the only curative treatment for patients with cancer that has spread to the liver.

One of the major advantages of ablation is the ease with which it can be done and the safety of the procedure and the possibility of successfully treating multiple lesions and that the procedure can be repeated to effect a cure.
